Dr Michael Avenido

Dr Mike has been working with us as a long term locum GP for the last four years and regretfully, he will no longer be with us in the New Year.

We have always been committed to providing a stable workforce for our patients and have been extremely fortunate in being able to recruit two excellent permanent GPs, (Dr Antonia Moussakou and Dr Miruna Constantin) to add to Dr Susan Atcheson at St Johns Surgery. Dr Mike was always welcome to join the team on a permanent basis but has expressed a preference to remain a locum and stay with us until we managed to recruit.

The surgery will be having a change of contractual terms from April 2025 which will result in a significant drop in income so we are reconfiguring our team to ensure that our patients can still receive the high quality service that we are committed to providing within the permanent workforce.

We would like to wish Dr Mike all the very best for his future and thank him for all his hard work for our patients.
